Congratulations, we all made it through 2022! It was another crazy year between COVID, the war in Ukraine, losing Twitch, Barbara Walters, and my personal favorite comedian, Leslie Jordan. We definitely had to tough it out. Despite it all, we are very lucky here at Byars construction to say that we had a prosperous year. We have had the most amazing customers who continue to support our small business, even when their project is completed. We have added new family members to our growing company. We have even had a few company parties that brought our families closer together. After all, employees are the backbone of every company. We are lucky to have the best.
As an employee of Byars Construction myself, I know how immensely proud I am to work for such a fair, competitive, and fun place to work. It almost feels inclusive to work here. To be surrounded by the best in the industry. To have developed the very best relationships with the best customers and fellow employees. So I wanted to take some time to share some great things a few of the other employees have stated about Byars Construction
Gilbert Orosco, Project Manager, has been with the company since its establishment. When asked what he felt about working for the company and being a part of its growth he stated “It’s nice to work for a company that cares about the quality of work performed. That takes a lot of stress off the employees when you know there is a standard that has to be met and it is extremely clear. This company shows its employees respect, understanding, and appreciation. I really enjoy working with the correct equipment and knowing that we are always in a safe environment. The best part is everyone has really positive attitudes, has each other’s backs, and brings out the best in one another.”
Luis Regaldo, an apprentice, is another employee that has been with us for a while. When Luis was asked what he thinks about working for Byars, he went on to say that he loves having something new to do every day. It’s always a new opportunity to learn. Luis went on to say, “I really enjoy the people I work with. It’s really rare to find one friend at work, but we really all get along great and the day goes by fast working alongside them. We have a lot of laughs. Even our customers sometimes get in on the jokes. It just makes a really great atmosphere.”
Danny Byars, the project manager, and uncle to owner Carl Byars has had many jobs in the construction industry. He used to be a builder in the Austin area. With his lengthy experience in the field, I was very excited to hear what he had to say about working for Byars Construction. Danny exclaimed that his favorite part of working for Byars is working with family. Family is very, very important to the close-knit Byars clan. Danny also really appreciates the industry itself and loves that he gets to share his knowledge and help cultivate such an educational, loving, fun atmosphere. Every day he gets to wake up and do what he loves. Very rare, very awesome.
Taiton DeBoer, one of our youngest and newest apprentices, has grown significantly in knowledge and friends since starting with Byars mere months ago. Taiton wanted us to know that working for Byars is not just a paycheck for him. “I am contributing to the families in our community. A community that supports us as well. It feels really good to work for a team that feels like family. We are all working towards the same goal. We are all like-minded in the fact we want to surpass expectations. It’s not often you meet so many like-minded people on the same team.”
These are just a few of the many sentiments shared by the team at Byars Construction. It is unanimous across the board, because Byars Construction hires, trains, and cultivates the best people in the industry and cultivates the happiest team around. Our employees are so incredible that not only do we know it, but our customers know it too.
We can not wait to see how we grow in 2023 and are excited about our upcoming projects in Victoria and the Crossroads. We look forward to adding to our Byars family, customers, and employees! Watch out, you’re going to see a lot of us this year!
